Sixth Form News March
Student of the Week
Emma is our fantastic student of the week! Emma had an interview at Coventry University this week and was very nervous about attending. She was asked some tricky questions and had to draw upon her life experience when answering the questions.
She clearly did excellently as she was offered a place! Very well done.
Emma has applied to do Midwifery with the aim of becoming a fully fledged midwife.
Duke of Edinburgh Success
We wanted to publicly congratulate all our Sixth Formers who completed their bronze, silver or gold Duke of Edinburgh award this week!
These students have shown true dedication and resilience to the award and will be able to take the skills they have gained from it into the real world (as well as the funny memories!)
Well done and keep motivated to try new experiences.
Revision Speed Dating
Exams are imminent in both Year 12 and 13 and to ensure ALL our students are fully prepared, they were invited to a revision speed dating session!
Students got to ‘taste’ 6 different revision activities for each of their three subjects and take away templates to use in the future.
Activities included: snakes and ladders; flipped revision; flashcards; revision pong; mind mapping; and revision clock!
Come and see us if you would like any templates to use for your own revision.
Here at Sixth Form, we are a family and a team and we like to show each other our appreciations!
Each week this half term, we have been completing a ‘Kindness Card’ for another student or teacher in Sixth Form to show them how AMAZING we think they are!
The responses have been overwhelming and messages have been awesome.
Don’t forget: In a world where you can be anything, BE KIND!
